Waikato Gundog Club

An informal day, suitable for all levels.

Briefing at 8.30 am (to avoid the heat of the day)

Experienced gundog handlers & trainers Lindsay and Eugenie Clapham, members of WGDC and the Working Spaniel Club will be on hand to run you and your dog through basic exercises and skills to help you progress your dog’s performance.

The work is aimed at retrievers, spaniels and versatile/HPR breeds

Please exercise and settle your dog in an approved area before training commences.

Bring a lead & favourite retrieve items. BYO food/drinks + water for your dog.

Pay on the day - $20 per handler.

IMPORTANT: Please leave gates as you find them – if in doubt check with a committee member. Be aware that fences may be electric. There is livestock on the property so keep your dog under strict control at all times. Keep dogs on leads unless completing a training exercise or in a designated exercise area. Anyone found on this property at any other time without authorisation will automatically be excluded from the club.

Please be aware that although every care is taken, WGDC or Landowner cannot be responsible for theft, damage or injury to handlers, dogs or property.
